-All tests, even final were non cumulative
-Makes outlines for each chapter
Cons: -Lecture can be boring
-Hard to hear even with microphone
All in all this class isn't too hard, and from what I've heard about the other teachers Bongard is the best/easiest. Make sure to read all the chapters he assigns, even if it's just before the test it will make them alot easier. Also check on Koofers for Chapter Outlines. Bongard creates an outline for each chapter for you to fill in with lecture notes so use that and Koofers outline of book material to study and you will be set. Test averages were never curved but always near C+ so put a little extra effort in and it will be an easy B or a moderately difficult A. I enjoyed the class, try to sit in the front so you can hear him better.
Tests are pretty easy and he gives quizzes that give you a feel for exactly how the tests are.
Cons: the lecture is boring so definitely bring your laptop.
Cons: his lectures are hard to pay attention to
Cons: boring class
Cons: a lot of reading material
Cons: You always have to read the text because he does include a few questions from the reading on the test.
Class format consists of may quizzes that do not carry a heavy weight but are sufficient in preparing one for the exams. Also, in class work is given every couple of weeks. Homework is graded solely on the basis of if you did it or not. Content is never graded. Final grades are curved somewhat.
Gives in-class examples for better understanding
Cons: No extra credit (not even when no one comes to class)
