Cons: It's a pretty challenging course.
Cons: If you aren't a biology major, don't take his class
He will prepare you well for the MCAT or whatever secondary path you choose. He is always willing to help, and will always surprise you with the answers he will give.
Cons: You have to know everything to such a high level of detail, outrageous for a 100-level class.
Cons: Real jerk to people in office hours. Exams are too long for the time period alloted. No leniency on answers.
Clear
Ruesink knows everything!
Cons: Hard class
Lots of reading (I was overwhelmed)
Would recommend his section of this class to friends.
Cons: Hard Class and Tests
Learned wayyy more than the other sections.
Ruesink has a passion for what he teaches and is good in office hours.
Cons: Readings are outrageously long and it's almost impossible to keep up.
He goes way over most students heads. Test are very hard, even though they are curved.
Final is almost impossible, and kept me up for days and I still didn't feel prepared.
Massive amount of information in this class. Hard to even know where to start when studying. Hardest intro class ever.
Cons: Covers a great deal of information in a short amount of time
Cons: The grade is definitely not a freebie. Ruesink will make you work hard for the grade you get. If you're lazy, his class is definitely not for you.
Ruesink is an awesome teacher. Going through the class will be a little grueling (you pretty much live with your textbook the entire semester), but the class will be more than worth it in the end.
